It’s funny what some really warm weather can do to our plants. Last weekend, we had tiny, just beginning to unfold leaves on our maple tree.
This Sunday is Mother’s Day and along with all the flowering plants that are bought for Mom, it is also the start of the season for planting containers with annual flowers.
It’s hard to believe that it is almost the month of May. It still seems to feel too cold for this late in April.
The snow is all but a distant memory at this point in time.
I took the dog out for a walk on Sunday morning. When I got home, I noticed two ticks on the dog.
While I was out walking the dog, I saw a bit of green grass sprouting up near a building.
I was walking along side the driveway the other day and I noticed this brown stuff along the edge of the driveway.
How about a bit of a trip down memory lane. If I had told you in early January that you would still have feet of snow in your yard on March 25, you probably would have laughed so hard that tears would be streaming down your cheeks. Who’s crying now?
I am looking out the window as I am writing this and there is snow coming down and giving a fresh coat of white to the old dirty snow.
As the snow begins to melt, you may be able to find the forsythia bush that is in your yard.
