Fall Magic Grass Seed

Jonathan Green’s Black Beauty® Fall Magic Grass Seed is specially formulated for successful fall seeding projects. Use this seed mixture to overseed a lawn with a sparse stand of grass or to plant a brand new lawn in the autumn. Black Beauty® Fall Magic is the ideal grass seed mixture to use when repairing summer disease and insect damage in lawns. The grass seed varieties in Fall Magic are bred to perform especially well when seeded during the fall planting season of September through November. This seed germinates in 10-14 days.

Shady Nook Grass Seed

Jonathan Green’s Black Beauty® Shady Nooks Grass Seed is our most shade-tolerant grass seed mixture. This grass seed survives and thrives in both wet and dry shady areas where other turf grass mixtures fail. What makes this proprietary shady seed mixture so great is the unique blend of Black Beauty® turf-type tall fescues and hard fescues. Because shady lawns receive less sunlight they perform less photosynthesis which means they require less food and do not respond well to overfeeding, especially with high nitrogen fertilizers. Use only Jonathan Green’s Seeding and Sodding Fertilizer which contains phosphorus to encourage deep root growth. This seed germinates in 10-14 days.

Dense Shade Grass Seed

Jonathan Green’s Black Beauty® Dense Shade Grass Seed contains shade-tolerant Black Beauty® varieties for lawns with big shady trees, large shrubs, or areas shaded by houses or other permanent structures. Black Beauty® Dense Shade contains the four families of cool-season turfgrasses: turf-type tall fescue, Kentucky bluegrass, perennial ryegrass, and fine fescues, which creates great versatility in shady to partial sun lawns. This seed germinates in 14 to 21 days.

Sunny Grass Seed

Jonathan Green’s Black Beauty® Sunny Grass Seed contains turf grass varieties that perform best in full sun growing conditions due to their ability to tolerate heat and have great drought resistance. These Black Beauty® turf-type tall fescues possess a waxy leaf coating, like the skin on an apple, which preserves moisture by limiting evaporation and shielding the grass leaves from turf disease. This product performs particularly well on slopes where water runs off and in lawns with a southern exposure, whereas regular grass seed mixtures succumb to heat and drought stress. This seed germinates in 7-14 days.

Sun & Shade Grass Seed

Jonathan Green’s Black Beauty® Sun & Shade Grass Seed is our best selling Black Beauty® grass seed mixture because it performs exceptionally well in either full sun or partial shade growing conditions. This mix is perfect for overseeding and will fill in bare spots quickly to improve the appearance of an entire lawn. Sun & Shade contains the four families of cool-season turfgrasses: turf-type tall fescues, Kentucky bluegrass, perennial ryegrass and fine fescue, making this our most versatile grass seed mixture. This seed germinates in 7 – 14 days.

Black Beauty Ultra Grass Seed

Jonathan Green Black Beauty® Ultra Grass Seed mixture combines our most elite Black Beauty® tall fescue seed varieties with our best Kentucky bluegrass to fill in bare spots quickly and invigorate worn-out lawns. Black Beauty® Ultra also contains premium perennial ryegrass for fast germination and wear tolerance in lawns that experience heavy traffic. The Black Beauty® Ultra seed grows naturally dark-green turf and is most similar to the Black Beauty® seed mixtures that sod growers purchase from us to grow high-quality sod within one year. This seed germinates in 7 – 14 days.

Bulb Tone

On all Spring and Fall flower bulbs. When planting in Spring, Fall or after flowers bloom

Tomato Tone

Use on all varieties of Tomatoes as well as any Vegetables. Can also be used on fruiting crops like peppers, squash & melons Use to enhance soil prior to planting First application after plant is established (10-14 days) Established Plants: Twice per month May through August

Rose Tone

Use with all varieties of roses in the landscape or in containers. Can also be used on flowering plants like Viburnum, Bougainvilleas & Clematis. For best flower production feed monthly through the growing season – often May through September.

Garden Tone

For use on all herbs and vegetables. Mix into the garden soil prior to planting. Seedlings / Transplants: 7 – 10 days after planting. Established plants: Monthly, May through Aug. Herbs will only require feeding at time of planting or after a large harvest.

Plant Tone

Use on all flowers, vegetables, trees and shrubs. Trees & Shrubs: Spring and late Fall Flowers and Vegetables: Once per month during growing season

Holly Tone

Use on all ACID LOVING plants, trees and shrubs. Feed in the Spring and late Fall at half the Spring rate. Blooming evergreens like azaleas and rhododendron are best fed in the spring at the first hint of bloom color. Berry crops should be fed twice; early spring and late spring (45-60 days apart). Never apply fertilizer to frozen soils.

Bio-Tone Starter Plus

For everything you plant. Use when planting all flowers, vegetables, trees and shrubs. Use at time of planting to help produce large root systems very quickly. This will help ensure that new plantings get maximum water and nutrients from the soil to minimize transplant loss.

Blooming & Rooting Soluble Plant Food 9-58-8

Use on Most Plants as a Soil Application, Foliage Feeding or as a Rooting Solution. A highly concentrated plant food that helps promote vigorous blooming, root development, larger blooms on flowering shrubs, trees, Roses, Orchids, Tomatoes and all blooming and fruit bearing plants. Application Rates: Container grown: 1 teaspoon in 1 gallon of water. Foliage feeding: 1/4 teaspoon in 1 quart of water. Outdoor plants: 2 tablespoons in 1 gallon of water. Foliage feeding: 1 tablespoon in 1 gallon of water.

All Purpose Water Soluble Plant food 20-20-20

This 20-20-20 plant food is ideal for all potted plants. Works best when used as a soil drench combined with a foliar spray. Apply at every watering or at least every 3 to 4 days.

Horticultural Oil

FOR ORGANIC GARDENING. Use as a dormant and growing season insect spray. Kills all stages of insects, including eggs. Use to control insects, mites, scale, for roses, flowers, fruits, vegetables, houseplants and trees.
